Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) Banned?

Battlegrounds Mobile India, often known as BGMI, appears to have been banned in India today in an unexpected turn of events. The famous battle royale game PUBG Mobile by Krafton has been taken down from the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store for its India-specific edition. Let's examine every aspect of the purported BGMI India ban.

Players of BGMI vented their frustrations about the removal of BGMI from the Play Store early this evening on social media sites and in internet forums. Online reports of the game being taken down from the iOS App Store have subsequently also surfaced, igniting speculation that it has been banned in India.

We independently checked the reports, and neither the Play Store nor the iOS App Store on our devices offer BGMI for download. Searching for BGMI on the Play Store yields PUBG Mobile equivalents, as shown in the screenshot below, but skips over the game in question.

Additionally, accessing the Krafton Inc. publisher page on the Play Store for Android only displays the recently released PUBG New State game. But that's not all. This article's removal of the Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) game from India is supported by a wealth of evidence. On the desktop, we also looked for the BGMI Play Store listing, and sure enough, the game has been taken down. On the desktop, there is a "Not Found" message for the app.

Over 100 million gamers have joined BGMI, which recently celebrated its first anniversary in India. Now, less than a month later, the game—an India-only imitation of PUBG Mobile, which was previously prohibited—has mysteriously vanished, leaving us to wonder if BGMI (also known as PUBG Mobile) has once again been made illegal in India. Please share your opinions in the section below.

The game has reportedly been cancelled as a result of a government directive. Indianexpress.com has also requested a statement on the removal from Google. Launched in July 2021, BGMI. It was released to take the role of the well-known PUBG Mobile game, which, along with a number other Chinese apps, was outlawed by the government in September 2020. BGMI was essentially perceived as PUBG Mobile adapted for India, despite the developer's insistence that the game was unique.

The game can be accessed and played by those who already have it loaded on their Android cellphones. The game is playable on Android devices without any issues, and everything inside the game works. Because Google seems to have disabled the app, new customers are currently unable to download the game from the Play Store. It has been noted that apps have been temporarily removed from the Play Store before being returned, so it could be a glitch or error on Google's end.

For answers to their questions about why BGMI was taken down from the Google Play Store and app store, many gamers are searching online. In order to avoid panicking over the game until Krafton and BGMI India make an official announcement, I would advise waiting.

Although it's possible that the game will resurface, Twitter users are certain that the government has outlawed it.

Both the government and Krafton, the company that created the game, have not yet issued any public statements. So keep checking back for additional details.
